Reception Photo Booths

Hello People!

I wanted to share a couple of ideas in today’s entry. First of all, I subscribe to an on-line newsletter called Daily Candy. Usually, these types of e-letters don’t offer very much, however I have been pleasantly surprised by Daily Candy time and again. Today when I was brainstorming some ideas that I would like to share about Photo Booths, I received an email from Daily Candy that added to my inspiration. So for those of you looking for neat tips for weekend travel, the latest in cool gadgets, etc… Daily Candy is a cool e-letter to receive. And how could I forget to mention…Daily Candy Weddings!
Ok, enough about that and on to my photo booth schpeel… Having a photo booth at your reception is one of the most fun items that you can incorporate into your celebration. Most photographers bring baskets full of props and offer unlimited photos for your guests. This is a great way to get everyone up and out of their seats and actually “participating” in the festivities. You can request that your photo booth photographer print 2 sets of each photo collage, one for your scrapbook and one for your guests to take home as a super cool favor. Also, don’t forget to add your own props like “Smitten Sticks“, suggested by Daily Candy, to add your own touch to your photo booth pics!

Makeup Tips for Spring Weddings

Hello Everyone,
I was thinking of some fresh ideas for spring wedding makeup and came across a couple of photos that I wanted to share. When chosing makeup for your wedding day, whether it be your foundation or color, remember that what you are trying to achieve is a more enhanced “YOU”. Your wedding day is not the time to experiment with new colors, foundations, skin care, etc. That is why I stress the pre-wedding trial run for all of my brides. This gives you the opportunity to wear the makeup all day to see how it will mix with your own natural oils and pigments, and it’s also a fun time to take some photos… because let’s face it, photos are the most important part;)
Back to spring makeup trends… I believe that peaches and pinks are timeless. Not sure which one is for you??? Do a half face make-over! Apply pinks to one side of your face and peaches to another and have your friends or a makup artist help you choose. Remember the most important part of makeup application is a photo-finish makeup. What is this? Well let’s just say we’ve all seen the ladies whose face looks white in a picture and their bodies are tan. This can’t happen to you on your big day, so choose a foundation with light reflecting pigments like prescriptives photochrome base to make sure your face is the focus of the shot for all the right reasons.
If you have any questions about wedding day makeup, please feel free to contact me at anytime on the info page of my website: http://www.alittlernr.com/

Spring Wedding Inspirations

Hello Everyone!

I'm sorry I haven’t been blogging over the winter months, but the holidays just swept me away with a trip to New York City and Savannah GA and many makeup jobs in between! However, I am back and committed to offering some great tips and ideas for not only makeup but also weddings. I hope you enjoy!
This is my latest and greatest fascination for spring weddings…feathers and the color blue. This theme reminds me of nesting, new beginnings and building a life, a lot of what a wedding is all about. Here are two very different examples of what I am loving right now. Both absolutely gorgeous for spring and early summer.
